Win by telling us about your connection to UPEI. Send us YOUR story (through words, photos, or videos).

RULES

1. Contest begins March 13th, 2010. Contest entries must be received by midnight April 30, 2010 ADT.
2. Any entrant is eligible to win(see rule 10). A parent or guardian’s signature of receipt will be required for cash prizes won by underage entrants.
3. You may enter only once, although you may maximize your chances to win in the random draws through referrals and the components of your original entry (see rules 8 and 9).
4. Entries may consist of a written story (max. 1000 characters), and/or a photo, and/or a video. Photos and videos must belong to the entrant and entrants must ensure that subjects within photos and videos have given permission for images submitted. Prizes awarded for such materials are awarded to the contest entrant only. Claims against the prize, if they occur, are the responsibility of the contest entrant.
5. Videos must have a URL to a video repository site, i.e., YouTube, vimeo
6. All entries will be moderated for appropriate content. The moderator’s decisions will be final.
7. A prize of $1,000 will be awarded to the best entry as determined by a panel of four judges made up of one UPEI student, one staff member, one faculty member, and one alumni representative. "Best" refers to the entry that in the opinion of the judges best exemplifies the UPEI spirit of building community.
8. A prize of $1,000 will be awarded to the contestant who receives the most referrals.
   • For every person you refer who submits an entry, your name will be entered again for the random draws.
   • The referred person must enter the referrer’s e-mail address on his/her entry page.
   • You may not refer someone who has referred you.
   • You may not refer yourself.
9. One prize of $500, plus 20 Panther Dolls, will be awarded individually through random draws. You may win only once. However:
   • For each item you have in your entry, you will receive 1 ballot for the random draws.
     • Example 1: If your entry has a written story, you will receive 1 ballot.
     • Example 2: If your entry has a written story and a photo, you will receive 2 ballots.
     • Example 3: If your entry has a written story, a photo, and a video, you will receive 3 ballots.
10. Although able to submit entries, UPEI's Integrated Communication's staff and/or their families are not eligible to win prizes.

Your vote helps to determine the percentage of $10,000 being distributed through bursaries to students who are building community — at home and around the world.

RULES

1. Each profiled project sponsor will receive a percentage of $10,000 based on the total percentage of votes cast during the contest.
2. The money will be used to create University Island Community Engagement Bursaries within the sponsor areas. Bursaries will be awarded according to terms held by the UPEI Scholarship and Awards Committee under the bursary name University Island Community Engagement Bursaries.
3. You may vote once every 24 hours. Remember: the number of votes cast for each project determines the percentage of the award.
4. You do not get multiple votes for days missed.
